THANK YOU for Making Our 2018 Drink Pink Fundraiser One for the Record Books!
The numbers are in and THANKS TO YOU our 6th Annual Drink Pink Fundraiser was one for the record books!
With the support of our INCREDIBLE customers, employees, families, and friends, this year's Drink Pink campaign raised an unprecedented $8,000 for the Adirondacks Chapter of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer! That's $1,500 more than the goal we set when we began our fundraiser!
And while it is certainly a pleasant surprise, we knew we could count on our team to exceed our hopes from Day 1! Our Adirondack Winery family rocks and because of all of you, breast cancer patients in our very community will receive critical, life-saving programs and assistance that will make a real difference in their lives!
This year's fundraiser kicked off in September with the sale of our limited-edition Drink Pink Berry Breeze, a mixed berry-infused semi-sweet rose wine, and Drink Pink Berry Blush, a raspberry-infused rose wine. We pledged to donate $4 for every bottle sold and you responded -- we sold more than 1,000 bottles by the end of the campaign!
Once again, we held our highly anticipated Drink Pink Uncork & Craft craft nights at our Lake George Tasting Room as part of our fundraising efforts. Our Tasting Rooms were packed every time with supporters and survivors, who came out for a night of fun that raised money for a great cause! $10 for every ticket sold was donated to Making Strides. These parties were such a great success that we are going to hold them again next year, so be ready to come out to support us again next October! A sincere thank you goes out to Wax 'n' Wix and ADK Creative Works, who donated their time and resources to help make these events possible.
A major driver of our fundraising total was Drink Pink Weekend Oct. 12-14. All weekend long, guests enjoyed free samples of our Drink Pink Berry Breeze and Berry-licious Spritzer, plus they played games, entered raffles and spun a prize wheel for free tastings and more! Our bar was full of donation slips from customers who share our vision for a world without breast cancer and supporting those who need our help!
Our raffle baskets were another big hit! Throughout the month of October, we sold $5 tickets for a chance to win one of three gift baskets full of $1,600 in total prizes. These baskets were a HUGE hit, with a total of 272 entries! ALL proceeds of these baskets were donated to Making Strides.

On Sunday, Oct. 28, our team rallied for the Making Strides Walk at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls. We were the top fundraising team and joined 1,000 total walkers and brave breast cancer survivors as we marched through Downtown Glens Falls. Together, the 58 total teams raised a whopping $77,000 for the Adirondacks Chapter of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer! (That's $20,000 more than last year!)
Adirondack Winery is so proud of our team and proud to support an amazing organization like Making Strides Against Breast Cancer. The funds we raised together will be used to support breast cancer research, transportation to and from chemotherapy, a live 24/7 cancer helpline and so much more.
We hope you will join us next year as we continue our mission to help make cancer a problem of the past. Our 7th Annual Drink Pink fundraiser begins next September!
